Trade Show booth Displays

Things you must look for when you are purchasing a trade show exhibit or display.

If you are planning to attend a trade show in the near future I am sure you realize that a trade shows requires a major investment of time and money. It is important to capitalize on your investment. One of the best ways to insure your success at trade show is to insure that your booth is professional and effective.

We have a few tips for you to consider when you are ready to purchase a display or booth.

  1. One thing that is very common to all exhibits is they will be tore down and put up many times. Make sure you are comfortable with the construction and steps necessary to tear the booth down and set it up. Will it hold up or will buckles and snaps start falling off?
  2. Another common concern is the weight of the exhibit. If you are shipping your exhibit from show to show this matters. It is possible to pay more for shipping your booth than the space is costing you. So make sure you get the weight you are looking for when you purchase your booth.
  3. Are you planning on carrying your exhibit with you on a plane or in a car? If so then the shipping size and containers must also be considered.
  4. You also need to consider your media options. Of course all of the above concerns are still in play here. You need to be comfortable with installing your graphic panels. You must also be sure they will hold up between shows and that they are not too big or too heavy. On top of all that we have found that most fabric graphics such as banners and printed cloth etc. just do not look as professional as a hard surfaced print. Let’s take a closer look at your two options.
    1. Soft Surface: These are flexible products such as banners, tarps, and other flexible materials. The pros for these are that they are light weight and they can be rolled up to be quite compact. The down side is it is very difficult to make this type of media look perfect when assembled. You will constantly be fighting wrinkles and tears.
    2. Solid Surface: A solid surface such as plastic, wood, or aluminum will always look better. When you cover these with a full color print they will really make your booth look impressive. No wrinkles or tears. The down side to this type of product is getting them to be compact enough to ship.
